All the stories take place within the same fictional territory that began as an island nation. Each book tells the story of one or more of its inhabitants. As the reader progresses from one story to the next, they discover how the characters are connected.
Sagas function as thematic axes that unify stories under a common concept. From these, sub-sagas or micro-sagas emerge, depending on the number of stories associated with certain characters or plot lines. The entire universe is interconnected.
This allows the reader to "jump" from one story to another without needing to follow a strictly chronological order; that's why all the stories are self-contained, while discovering new perspectives, professions, lifestyles, conflicts and romances within the same narrative ecosystem.
